  • During the week ending 28 September 2016, rainfall was mainly recorded across parts of north-central and southern Australia.
  • Maximum and minimum temperatures were generally below average across much of central and southern Australia.
  • The forecast for the next eight days indicates that rainfall is expected across northern, eastern and southern Australia.
  • Water storage levels in the Murray–Darling Basin (MDB) decreased by 29 gigalitres (GL) during the week ending 29 September 2016.
  • The young cattle indicator price (330–400 kg live weight C3) averaged 684 cents a kilogram in Queensland in the week ending 23 September 2016.
  • The lamb indicator price (18–22kg fat score 2–4) averaged 574 cents a kilogram (dressed weight) in Victoria in the week ending 23 September 2016.
  • The world wheat indicator price (US No. 2 hard red winter, free on board Gulf ports) was US$195 a tonne in the week ending 27 September 2016.
