Changes to how you bank with us

Recent changes that may impact customers

  • As of Wednesday 31 January 2024, Rural Bank and Elders have both agreed to end the partnership through which Rural Bank products and services were provided through the Elders network.
  • For those customers who use their local Elders branch, we have alternatives in place, and a support team available on 1300 078 974, 8.30 am and 5.00 pm weekdays, to ensure your banking needs continue to be met.
  • We understand these changes may not be ideal for some, however we maintain our commitment to offer financial solutions for primary producers built on our agribusiness insights and expertise.

What won't change

Your current Rural Bank and Bendigo Bank account details and products will stay the same, as will the many ways you can manage your banking.

In person

Through our Bendigo Bank branch network, you‘ll be able to complete a full range of transactions including Electronic Funds Transfers, International Funds Transfers and Cash/Cheque transactions. They can also assist you with account enquiries.

Rural Bank and Bendigo Bank customers can access a range of services at more than 3,500 Australia Post office locations across Australia where you can use the Bank@Post[1] facility.

Provided you have a Visa debit card and PIN linked to the applicable account you can access the following services:

  • Cash withdrawals
  • Cash and cheque deposits
  • Account balance enquiries
  • Bill payments

Together with the Bendigo Bank branch network, you will have about 4,000 locations where you can transact.

Online via Internet Banking

Rural Bank’s Internet Banking platform provides a convenient option to carry out many everyday banking tasks, such as transferring funds, accessing statements, and 24/7 transparency over your account history. 

If you are not currently registered for Internet Banking, you can register by calling 1300 651 839 between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm (AEST) weekdays and 9.00 am to 4.00 pm (AEST) on weekends.

You can find your nearest branch, or call our friendly customer support team on 1300 660 115 between 8.30am – 8.00pm AEST Monday to Friday.  If you have internet, you can register for internet banking, where you can manage your accounts online 24/7, including opening RB ONE Term Deposits or RB ONE FMD accounts.

Your Rural Bank Relationship Manager or our Agri Direct team can support you with all your banking needs so give them a call first. If you do not have a Rural Bank Relationship Manager, you can contact our customer support team on 1300 660 115 or visit your nearest Bendigo Bank branch.

You do not need to do anything, we will automatically renew your deposit account for the same term at an indicative interest rate.

Rural Bank provides you with convenient, reliable and secure access to your accounts online, via app, in person or over the phone. Call 1300 660 115, pop into your nearest Bendigo Bank branch, or visit our Ways to bank page.

You can do this over the phone where the request is less than $50,000 and we can complete your ID verification. For amounts greater than $50,000, and to satisfy ID requirements, contact your Rural Bank Relationship Manager or call 1300 660 115. Alternatively, head to your nearest Bendigo Bank branch.
