  • During the week ending 25 March 2015 rainfall was mainly recorded across northern and eastern Australia.
  • Maximum temperatures were above average over most of northern and eastern Australia during the week ending 24 March 2015
  • The forecast for the next eight days indicates that rainfall is likely to be restricted to parts of western and northern Australia.
  • The April 2015 rainfall outlook suggests that there is an increased chance of wetter than average conditions across much of mainland Australia.
  • The rainfall outlook for April to June 2015 indicates that wetter than average conditions are more likely across most of mainland Australia.
  • Water storage levels in the Murray–Darling Basin (MDB) decreased this week by 255 gigalitres (GL) and are at 40 per cent of total capacity.
  • The world wheat indicator price (US No. 2 hard red winter, free on board Gulf ports) averaged US$256 a tonne in the week ending 24 March 2015.
  • The Australian grain sorghum indicator price (Sydney) was $323 a tonne in the week ending 25 March 2015, 1 per cent higher than the previous week.
  • The Queensland young cattle indicator price (330–400 kg live weight C3) averaged 412 cents a kilogram (dressed weight) in the week ending 20 March 2015.
  • Changes to the saleyard indicator prices of lamb (18–22kg fat score 2–4) were mixed across the states in the week ending 20 March 2015.
