Australian agriculture outlook 2021

14 December 2020 |Agricultural Outlook
Positive agricultural outlook, but keep a close eye on COVID-19 impacts and trade tensions in 2021

Above average rainfall coupled with ongoing demand for high quality Australian produce helped support Australian agriculture through the impacts of second waves of COVID-19 and ongoing trade tensions in the second half of 2020.

These factors – seasonal conditions, COVID-19 impacts and Australia’s trade relationships – will shape the front half of 2021 according to our Australian agricultural outlook 2021.

The Outlook 2021 analyses the performance of six industries – cattle, horticulture, cropping, dairy, sheep and wool, plus the broader economy – to provide a forecast of what we can expect in first half of 2021.
