Australian agriculture mid-year outlook 2022

5 July 2022 |Agricultural Outlook

Rural Bank’s latest agriculture outlook shows a positive outlook for Australian farmers.

Seasonal conditions are continuing to underpin strong production across most agricultural sectors. High commodity prices will also remain heading into the back half of the year.

Supply chain disruptions are weighing on the outlook, with input costs also a key issue. Though the combination of high prices and strong production will assist producers.

Despite difficult trade conditions, exporters have continued diversifying into alternative markets. As a result export demand is forecast to strengthen further over the next six months.

Rural Bank’s Australian agriculture mid-year outlook report analyses six major commodities.
