Frequently asked questions

Our network

Who will I be dealing with? Can I have access to a dedicated Relationship Manager?

All Rural Bank lending customers (existing and new) have direct access to a local Relationship Manager. Our team are experienced banking staff who have knowledge and expertise in farming. They’re here to provide you with information and advice on which banking products will best help you stay on top of challenges and grab opportunities.

Our Relationship Managers all have the same expert product and industry knowledge. Our team includes dedicated banking staff from Rural Bank, located across Australia, as well as accredited agribusiness lenders in a number of Bendigo Bank branches, and District Banking Managers available through the Elders Rural Services network.

Your choice of Relationship Manager can be based on who’s nearest to you, or on the Rural Bank partner you prefer to do business with. Find a Relationship Manager.

Can I choose my Relationship Manager?

Yes, use our locator tool to find your nearest and preferred Relationship Manager or contact our Customer Service team.

Do Relationship Managers promote solutions from multiple banks?

Our Relationship Managers are not loan brokers; they are specialised agribusiness experts and are solely dedicated to pairing your specific farm finance needs with the most appropriate Rural Bank banking product. Regardless of whether the Relationship Manager that helps you is from Rural Bank, Bendigo Bank or Elders Rural Services, you can expect to receive the same consistency of quality service and proactive response. We simply offer multiple relationship options to ensure our specialist farm finance tools are easily accessible across rural and regional areas.

Will my local relationship manager visit my property?

We understand you lead a busy life. It is our preference to visit our customers on their property because we see on-farm visits as an important part of learning more about your business and tailoring our service to your needs.

Does Rural Bank have branches?

Rural Bank operates through a network of Relationship Managers and the existing networks of our banking partners, Elders Rural Services and Bendigo Bank. This allows us to provide cost-effective and personalised banking services across rural and regional Australia.

You can access our specialised farm finance products directly from Rural Bank or via Elders Rural Services and Bendigo Bank branches. Our deposit products are available directly from Rural Bank or through Elders Rural Services branches.

In addition to this local presence, our team of Customer Service staff is located on-shore in Australia and they are available on the phone to assist you.

How do I complete my day to day banking?

You can complete your banking activities through our Customer Service team, via Internet and Phone Banking, Australia Post’s Bank@Post, as well as through the networks of Elders Rural Services and Bendigo Bank.
