Why Rural Bank?

100% Australian-owned and operated

We are 100% owned by the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Group, who have set the standard for banking that gives financial power back to our communities. Our operations, including all our customer services, are located in Australia. When you call us, you can be sure that you are always speaking to a local.

Founded to back rural Australia

Rural Bank was founded, under a banking licence granted in 2000, to provide specialist banking services to rural and regional Australia at a time when these services were being withdrawn by major banks. Rural Bank is still filling the growing gap as other banks continue to consolidate services or move out of regional Australia completely.

Dedicated to Australian agribusiness

Farms are financed like no other business, which means only specialised banking products will do. Rural Bank has products that work for the financial demands of all farmers – from large agri-businesses to personal money management. Our sole focus is to provide products and expertise to help farmers take control of their money, stay on top of challenges and grab opportunities.

We’re here for all Australians who want a bank that puts our people and communities first. We have everyday banking, savings, investments, retirement accounts and loans – as well as special products for businesses and community groups.

Investing in Australia

Rural Bank is here to back Australians and Australian communities. The money you deposit with us we re-invest back into rural Australia. We also support the Australian agribusiness community through a countrywide program of community involvement, including giving support to local causes through our regional banking partners.

Partnering with established community icons

Rural Bank has partnered with some of Australia’s best-known organisations to provide specialist banking solutions in our communities and on your farm. Through these local experts, we deliver personalised service and unparalleled choice and access for the rural community.
