Hoax Email Warning
Beware of hoax emails being circulated which appear to be from Rural Bank or other financial institutions. Such emails are sent by criminals and are intended to obtain confidential information (eg. passwords, username etc.) by deceiving customers into entering this information via a link to a fraudulent website.
Rural Bank will never send you an email requesting confidential information or directing you to login to internet banking. Customers should immediately delete any unsolicited emails / suspicious emails and never click on a link or attachment contained within such an email. Customers should also run up to date anti-virus software on their computer.
